How to Use: Equilib
Example
Calculate the equilibrium state of a copper-slag-matte system at 1250°C, which is related to copper smelting processes. The calculation is performed under the following conditions:
-
System Composition: Defined as shown in the table below.
-
Oxygen Partial Pressure: Set to reach 10-8 atm at the equilibrium state.
-
Variable Parameters: Investigate the stable phases at equilibrium by varying the ratio of FeO to SiO2.
| Species | Amount(gram) | Species | Amount(gram) |
|---|---|---|---|
| FeO | 35-65 | Cu | 100 |
| SiO2 | 40-10 | Cu2S | 100 |
| Fe2O3 | 5 | Pb | 0.001 |
| Cu2O | 20 | Zn | 0.001 |
Standard Workflow
- Input the materials to be charged into the furnace.
- Select the species that may exist at equilibrium.
- Enter the temperature, pressure, and other conditions, then start the calculation.
- Plot graph.
