History of FactSage from version 5.0 to 8.4
FactSage 8.4 is the latest release as of June 2026.
FactSage debuted in 2001, uniting the powerful capabilities of FACT-Win 3.05 and ChemSage 4.0. This marked the beginning of its legacy, starting directly from Version 5.0. This section highlights the impressive milestones of FactSage's ongoing evolution. We invite you to visit the developer’s website for more extensive information.
Details of FactSage Version Upgrades
With each new version upgrade, FactSage introduces advanced new features alongside comprehensive additions and updates to its thermodynamic databases. The table below outlines the specific enhancements for each version. The numbers following "FactPS" and "SGPS" indicate the total number of compound entries included, which generally expands with every upgrade. Please note, however, that database contents are continuously evaluated and refined to ensure the highest quality, meaning entry counts may occasionally decrease during an upgrade if anomalies are resolved.
