Licenses (Usage and "Maintenance and Support")
Three types of licenses are available: 1-Year, 3-Year, and Perpetual. For the Perpetual license, the usage period is indefinite, while the support period is limited to 6 years. During the support period, version upgrades and technical support for FactSage are provided free of charge.
License Types
Two licensing options are available to suit your operational needs: Dongle Licenses and Network Licenses. A dongle is a hardware key designed to manage FactSage access and is used by connecting it to a USB port.
Dongle License: You may install FactSage on any number of PCs; however, the software will only operate when the USB dongle is plugged in. For every single license purchased, two dongles are included.
Network License: This option is ideal for environments where client PCs can connect to a central license server via a network. The actual calculations are executed on the client PCs. This model is highly recommended for organizations with a larger number of concurrent users.
